Covering Clydesdale, Larkhall and Stonehouse areas the Service provides home, individual and day activity support, focusing on adults (16-65) with severe and/or enduring mental health problems; negotiated agreed action plans are completed with service users which are subject to routine review; assisting individuals to develop and/or maintain daily living skills and encourage interaction within local communities, which can involve social, recreational, emotional and educational assistance. Information and advice to carers and significant others is also provided where required.

Crisis support available in evenings and at weekends  providing practical and emotional support to individuals who find themselves within a situation of crisis relating to their mental health. This service can be accessed by telephoning the service.  Intervention will be offered over the telephone in the first instance and home visit when this does not resolve crisis.

Service provides intensive support packages to adults with severe and enduring difficulties living in their own tenancies,  primarily around Hillhouse in Hamilton and this includes overnight on call system. 

Overall aim of service is to lessen needs of individuals promoting their recovery by moving them on to services requiring less support than originally provided.

Service is accessed via mental health social work teams, mainly Hamilton area team, following full assessment of needs.

Individually tailored support to adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties to explore, develop and assist to fulfil employment related aspirations. This includes individual support and also an option for some group work and includes assistance to pursue voluntary work, further education, training opportunities or paid employment.
