Mission Statement
We are committed to developing and providing quality support services in partnership with people who experience mental health difficulties, their carers and other agencies.
Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health is a voluntary organisation and recognised charity. We have been in existence since 1983 and specialise in providing needs led support services to people with mental health problems.
Our core values show a strong ethos in promoting and involving the views and opinions of people who use our service.
The Association delivers a range of services designed to support people: There is no charge to you for our service.
Practical support/assistance e.g. shopping, budgeting.
Assistance to access community facilities e.g. leisure, recreation.
Planned group activities e.g. social contact/drop in, special interest groups.
Support to access work/educational activity.
Support to access other services e.g. benefits advice, advocacy.
Our approach is one which identifies and builds on people's strengths, as we believe a service user's journey to recovery is promoted by supporting their hopes and aspirations.
